Allen E. Travis

08/16/1932 - 04/26/2012    Allen E. Travis, 79, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 26, 2012 at the Hospice Residence Linglestown Road.

He was a graduate of Altoona High School class of 1951and from Penn State University; a member of Progress Immanuel Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg; a life member of PSU Alumni Association; a 50-year member of Perseverance Blue Lodge #21; Harrisburg Consistory; 50-year member of Tall Cedars of Lebanon #43; American Legion Post # 272 Harrisburg; Turkey Buzzards; Ampra; Hershey Region Antique Car Unit; Tall Cedars Special Interest Car Unit;  He worked as a product engineer for AMP, Inc. for over 35 years.

Along with his beloved wife of 52 years, Nancy F. Travis, he is survived by 2 daughters, Tammy A. Savage and her husband David of Florida, and Terri T. McGee and her husband John of Pittsburgh; 4 grandchildren, Brent, Jared, and Craig Savage all of Florida; and Jacob McGee of Pittsburgh.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 3pm, at Progress Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 3640 Ash St., Harrisburg, PA 17109, with viewing from 1-2:45pm and a masonic service to begin at 2:45pm. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to his church.
